The revitalization of Farmersville’s downtown is primarily driven by two main goals – historic preservation and increased economic development. It is important to our community stakeholders and residents that the downtown continue to build on its restoration and revitalization efforts while retaining its small-town charm and the heritage of our historic architecture.
Available Grants
As part of our innovative revitalization efforts, Farmersville EDC offers a Business Development Grant to existing and new downtown business owners for exterior beautification to stimulate commercial investment and development in the city. This grant offers matching funds for improvements to commercial buildings or other approved exterior or interior property. Another available grant opportunity focuses on providing support for the installation of Fire Suppression Systems for downtown buildings.Â
As the population of Farmersville and our neighborhoods surrounding the downtown continue to grow, there is economic opportunity, particularly on Main Street, for new restaurants, retail stores, boutiques, antique shops, art galleries, and more.Â

Farmersville Chamber of Commerce
Another asset and partner to downtown businesses is our Farmersville Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber is active throughout the year with networking events for local businesses and entrepreneurs and is ready to help with the resources and support necessary for success.
