Starting a business is an exciting venture! This guide provides information you’ll need to get started, including tips on creating a business plan, securing funding, selecting a location, and completing necessary registrations.

Business Plan

Creating a business plan is vital to starting a new business. This plan should include the main purpose of your business, your business structure, and how you plan to succeed. The Small Business Administration offers a wealth of information on business planning and how to get started.

Get Funding

There are many ways to fund your business from self-funding to investors to loans. To learn more about ways you can fund your business, visit the SBA’s information on Funding your Business.

You may qualify for grants or other incentives available for your industry that are offered here in Farmersville.

A well-used grant option continues to be our Business Development Grant. If you qualify, this grant can provide up to $25,000 in assistance for businesses wishing to improve their physical plant or storefront.

Pick a Location

Your business will need to be established in an approved zone for your business type. Reference our zoning map to help you get started planning, or use our properties tool to find space already available here in Farmersville.
