With what is believed to be among the first of its kind in the State of Texas, the Farmersville Economic Development Corporation (FEDC) is offering a Fire Suppression Grant for business/building owners in its historic downtown. With this grant, FEDC is helping those owners keep their employees and customers safe, protect their property and livelihoods and comply with federal fire codes. This is all done in addition to helping lower property insurance costs and raise property values. The best part? It is absolutely free to those who qualify!
How does this innovative program work? Applicants are given guidelines for the program, fill out an application and meet with the FEDC Board of Directors. Photos of the site, a site visit by the FEDC executive director and three estimates are required. The process has been streamlined to ensure those who are qualified can get moving on their projects as quickly as possible.
