Any existing businesses located in the City of Farmersville are eligible for this program. This includes businesses requiring construction prior to official opening dates, provided that the business provides ownership of the subject business or businesses. Grant amounts begin at $2,500 and go up to a maximum of $25,000, with a required equal match from the property owner. Recipients of FEDC business development grants are not required to pay back the matching funds.
The purpose of this 50% matching grant is to encourage building and business owners to upgrade the exteriors of buildings and façades, improve the physical structure of buildings, and simultaneously enhance the aesthetics these buildings add to our community.Â
