With the City of Farmersville’s residential base growing, the city’s healthcare base needed a boost. The Farmersville Economic Development Corporation went looking for the right partner to address that need and found it in the Hunt Regional Healthcare system.Â
Utilizing a performance agreement, FEDC provided financial assistance which Hunt Regional in turn used to build out Hunt Regional Urgent Care Farmersville. The new medical facility opened in the winter of 2024 to provide comprehensive medical services for immediate medical needs, including illness and injury, diagnostics and lab service capabilities, to Farmersville and the surrounding communities. Â
Additionally, the incentive package FEDC put together helped Hunt Regional to lease out additional space for Carevide, a local non-profit health center which provides childhood physical exams and immunizations, preventive care for children and adults and other medical care for insured, underinsured or even uninsured patients.
